Simple ways to protect your money from fraudsters.

Be Vigilant
Watch Out For Fake SMS & Emails
Fraudsters could send SMS, Telegram messages, or emails that look urgent. They may say your account will be blocked, your details must be updated, or you need to click a link to confirm a transaction.
These messages are designed to make you panic and act quickly without checking.
How to protect yourself:
Do not click links in unexpected SMS or emails about your accounts.
Always use the official BRED Connect app or type the BRED Bank Cambodia’s website address directly into your browser.
If a message looks suspicious, delete it and contact BRED Bank Cambodia through official channels.

Be Skeptical
Don’t Trust Strange Calls
Some scammers may call and pretend to beyour financial service providers. They may say your account “will be frozen” and pressure you to act quickly.
Remember that staff will never ask for your PIN, password, or One-Time Password (OTP), which is a temporary security code sent to your phone or email to confirm a login or transaction.
How to protect yourself:
If a caller asks for them, hang up immediately.
Call the BRED Bank Cambodia using the official number printed on your card or shown on our website.
Save this official contact number on your phone and use it whenever you are unsure about a call.

Be Attentive
Avoid Fake Loans & Fake Investments
Some fraudsters may create Facebook pages or Telegram groups using financial service providers’ logos and names to appear genuine.
Scammers may promote “fast loans” or “guaranteed 20% profit with zero risk,” then ask you to pay “loan” or “processing” fees, or to invest money into a personal account under the name of a financial service provider. Once you pay, they disappear or block you.
How to protect yourself:
Do not trust loan or investment offers from unofficial Facebook pages or personal accounts.
Never pay any loan or investment fees into a personal bank account.
Be wary of any offer that promises high returns with “no risk” – this is almost always a scam.

Be Watchful
Check Links and QR Codes Before You Pay
When you buy online, a seller may send you a payment link or QR code that looks normal, but it can redirect you to a fake website that steals your card details or send your money to a personal account unrelated to any real shop.
How to protect yourself:
Always use the official BRED Connect app or type the BRED Bank Cambodia’s website address directly into your browser.
