BRED Bank Cambodia hosted a high-profile conference which addressed the increasing challenges of digital security in Cambodia.
The event, entitled Strengthening Cambodia’s Digital Future: Insights into cybersecurity from key sectors was organised by La French Tech Phnom Penh (which is part of the international French Tech movement backed by the French Government to promote the emergence of successful technology startups) and attracted industry leaders, experts and other stakeholders with an interest in this important topic.
BRED Bank Cambodia CIO, Mr. David Da Costa was one of the three speakers who addressed the audience on the day and his presentation focused on the many aspects of risk management and technical design principles employed by the bank to ensure that customer transactions are safe.
“As Cambodia shifts towards a fast-growing cashless and digitally inclusive economy, strong cybersecurity is essential to prevent fraud, protect sensitive data and maintain customer trust,” Mr. Da Costa told the audience. He also shared strategic insights into how BRED Group mitigates cybersecurity risk at scale and secures its digital services by design.
The event was also addressed by Mr. Alvin Tan of Singapore-based cybersecurity solutions provider, DACTA Global and Mr. Jan Hanken, CEO of ChainsAtlas which is bringing AI automation to the blockchain.
The event also featured a panel session hosted by Ms. Eva Berlinson who is a board member of La French Tech Phnom Penh.
