The annual France Alumni Day held at the French Embassy in Phnom Penh on 5 June 2025 attracted around 500 participants, including graduates from French-speaking programmes, students from the Royal University of Phnom Penh the Royal University of Law and Economics and many other schools.
“The event is a unique opportunity for young people who have studied in France or in French-speaking programmes to connect with potential employers and to network with fellow alumni,” said Ms. Rath Amara SAR, BRED Bank Cambodia’s Head of HR. “We were delighted to welcome around 60 visitors to our booth on the day – many of whom expressed a keen interest in the bank’s career opportunities.”
BRED Bank CEO, Mr. Nicolas Hollanders and Relationship Manager, Mr. Rofasaly Mat also took part in a round table discussion. Mr. Mat is a France Alumni himself and was able to share his insights with the attendees. “In addition to technical skills, studying in France has offered me the opportunity to develop a great open-mindedness and an ability to adapt to multi-cultural environments,” he said. “This is especially valuable in my current role, working with international clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.”
As one of the event’s key sponsors, the bank also presented Mrs. Nitikar Nith, the fourth-place winner of a quiz event held on the day, with a cheque for $200.
“We’re honoured to have taken part in such a vibrant and prestigious event,” said Mr. Nicolas Hollanders, “and we look forward to continuing our support for educational and professional development initiatives in the future.”
